Forfar

Forfar was a terminus of the Scottish Midland Junction Railway, where it met the Arbroath and Forfar Railway, in Angus.

The station was opened in 1848, it was not the town's first station. That was Forfar Playfield which opened in 1838, it was closed when the new station was opened. The station and line later became part of the Caledonian Railway and later still the LMSR.

The station was closed in 1967 along with most of the SMJR route for passenger traffic though the line remained open for freight until 1982.

Kirriemuir

Kirriemuir was a stop on the Scottish Midland Junction Railway in Angus between Kirriemuir Junction and Glamis.

The station was opened in 1861 by the Scottish North Eastern Railway on it's line from Perth to Forfar, which was known as the Scottish Midland Junction Railway. It later became part of the Caledonian Railway.

The station was closed to passengers in 1952 though goods traffic continued until 1965.

Bridge of Dun

Bridge of Dun was a stop on the Caledonian Railway in Angus between Dubton and Brechin or Farnell Road. It is now a terminus of a preserved railway.

The station was opened by the Aberdeen Railway in 1848, later becoming part of the Caledonian Railway. The station was closed to passengers in 1967 though the line remained open until 1981.

Part of the line has been re-opened by the Caledonian Railway (Brechin). Bridge of Dun was re-opened in 1993 as one of the line's termini.

Elliot Junction

Elliot Junction was a stop on the Dundee & Arbroath Railway between Arbroath and Easthaven.

The station was opened by the Caledonian Railway in 1866. The station was the scene of an accident in 1906 when a stationary train was hit by another one. Twenty two people were killed. The station was closed for a few months late in the First World War though re-opened before the war was over.

The station closed in 1967.
